樂門金傑米爵士首席樂隊（JIMMYKING）碩果僅存的幾位元老於1990年為後代留下的唯一的現代PCM數碼技術錄音的作品。收錄「夜上海」、「夜來香」、「玫瑰玫瑰我愛你」等34首「奠定爵士樂中國流派的開山之作」、「遠東第一樂府」，天籟絕響，百世留芳。

用《花樣年華》為上海定製了符號，周璇的旗袍與張愛玲的戀物情節開始復活，在和平飯店，端著一杯卡布基諾，用味蕾去TOUCH1947年的JAZZ，周璇、姚莉、李香蘭、吳鶯音……淺笑輕顰與芳華絕代在耳邊猶存。

爵士樂是屬於20世紀40年代上海的，屬於老百樂門的首席樂隊JIMMYKING，無數與舊上海有關的電影中不可或缺的背景音樂與其有關，極盛時與巴黎紅磨坊、紐約百老匯的樂隊齊名，其演奏作品「夜上海」、「夜來香」、「玫瑰玫瑰我愛你」等甚至進入世界爵士樂名人堂，也許現代中西文化的融合，這是第一次以音樂的名義綻放神奇。

卡朋特樂隊由著名的歌星卡朋特與她哥哥理查德·卡朋特組成，卡倫·卡朋特1950年生於美國康耐狄格州，從小在哥哥的影響下學習樂器，成了一名鼓手，大她三歲的哥哥理查德是個非常有才華的青年，擔任鋼琴伴奏和製作人，並創作了大量歌曲。後來在著名經紀人德紐文的幫助下，進入了美國流行樂壇。 1970年一曲《靠近你》(CloseToYou)榮登排行榜首，這使卡朋特樂隊一炮走紅，70年代中他們不斷有佳作聞世，成為無數美國青年的偶像，尼克松總統稱卡朋特兄妹是最出色的美國青年。

卡倫·卡朋特嗓音優美，演唱親切自然，略帶傷感，加之他們運用了多軌錄音技術，因此他們的唱片無論在藝術上或技術上都非常成功，是當代流行音樂的精品。

照你的描述，我想你應該聽一聽酷派爵士（cool jazz）和smooth jazz。說幾個音樂家，cool jazz可以聽回聽Miles Davis和Chet Baker（這個人絕對符合要求，強答烈推薦）還有Stan Getz，Smooth Jazz可就多了去了，基本都適合你的要求，我就沒必要說什麼音樂家了。
提醒一點，這些音樂家不只是演奏，也有人聲，但是演奏佔多數。
