《我和你》是北京奧運會開幕式的主題曲。由中國歌手劉歡演唱歌曲中文部分，英國歌手莎拉·布萊曼演唱歌曲英文部分。這首歌的詞曲由北京奧運會開幕式音樂總監陳其鋼所創作。《我和你》歌詞比較簡單，中英文部分各有42字及33字，先由劉歡主唱，然後莎拉·布萊曼演繹英文部分，再以普通話唱出中文部分，二人最後同唱英文部分作結。

《The Flame》是2000年悉尼奧運會主題歌。在9月15日的開幕式上，來自澳大利亞的女歌手蒂娜·艾蓮娜成為那屆奧運會上最幸運的歌手，當天全世界總人口中有將近三分之一的觀眾聽到了她的完美嗓音。
《Reach》
這屆奧運會的官方正式主題歌是格洛麗亞·伊斯特芬的《登峰造極》，《登峰造極》後來還入圍了當年多項格萊美獎提名，成為了格洛麗亞·伊斯特芬難忘的代表作之一，當時最炙手可熱的創作人娃娃臉寫出的異常動聽的旋律在開幕式後亦曾傳唱多年。
《Barcelona》
1992年巴塞羅那奧運會原本要將《Barcelona》定為該屆奧運會的主題曲，但由於Freddie在1991年便與世長辭，臨時取消了這一決定，這引起歌迷的強烈不滿。[8]
《Hand In Hand》
是由湯姆·惠特洛克（美）作詞，吉奧吉·莫洛作曲 （Giorgio Moroder，義大利），Koreana組合演唱的1988漢城奧運會主題曲，英文名Hand in Hand，漢語名手拉手。[9]
1988年第24屆漢城奧運會《Hand In Hand》(手拉手)是歷屆奧運會中傳唱最廣的主題曲，薩馬蘭奇曾認為其是最成功的奧運會主題曲，甚至考慮將它定為永久會歌。這首義大利人、美國人、韓國人共同製作的歌曲，是真正的國際化合作。
《Reachout》
1984年的第23屆洛杉磯奧運會，是新中國第一次參加夏季奧運會，那一年，中國運動員實現了奧運會金牌零的突破。而由美國著名的黑人歌手萊昂內爾·里奇在洛杉磯奧運會上演唱的《Reachout》（沖刺），也是中國觀眾聽到的第一首奧運會主題歌。

1896年4月6日，當希臘國王喬治一世宣布第1屆奧運會開幕以後，希臘著名音樂家斯皮羅斯•薩馬拉斯指揮9個合唱團和250人演唱了這首由他作曲、抒情詩人科斯蒂斯•帕拉馬斯作詞的《奧林匹克聖歌》。悠揚的樂曲、悅耳的歌聲久久回盪在帕那辛尼安體育場上空，把人們帶入了緬懷古奧運會的輝煌和憧憬現代奧運會的美好的境界之中。
雖然《奧林匹克聖歌》在第1屆奧運會開幕式上大獲成功，但當時並未把它確定為奧運會會歌。而此後的歷屆奧運會則均由東道主確定會歌，並未形成統一的會歌形式。後來有人建議重新創作一首永久性的會歌，但幾經嘗試都不能令人滿意。於是，國際奧委會在1958年於東京舉行的第55次全會上最後確定還是用《奧林匹克聖歌》作為奧林匹克運動會會歌。從此以後，在每屆奧運會的開、閉幕式上都能聽到這首悠揚的古希臘管弦樂曲。
由於這首歌通常不用英語唱 所以英語版的歌詞即使有也是多餘的
由於歌詞是古希臘語，所以比較難找：P
歌我倒是有：這是2000年悉尼運會開幕式上的，我最喜歡的版本，還是一個希臘合唱團（潛匿合唱團）飛過去唱的。
